BNA HOT CHICKEN PIZZA

This southern hot shot fires up the runway with a base of creamy Alabama white BBQ, smooth, smoky, and built for altitude. Then it climbs higher with Nashville hot-sauced chicken, melty mozzarella, and red onions.

After the bake, it touches down with hot pickles and one last drizzle of white BBQ to balance the burn and keep your flavor engines running full throttle.

The BNA Hot Chicken is cleared for takeoff all month long. So buckle up—this ride’s gonna bring some serious heat.

The Barnstormer Bite

This week’s Barnstormer Bite takes a different kind of flight path, away from the oven and into the world of aviation real estate.

Meet Danielle from AV8 Realty, where passion for flying meets the perfect place to land. As Director of Communications, Danielle helps connect pilots and aviation enthusiasts with homes built for the flying life, think hangars, runway access, and views that make every sunset feel like an approach to final.

Whether you dream of sipping coffee while watching morning departures or rolling straight from your garage to the taxiway, AV8 Realty makes it happen. They understand that for aviators, home means more than a roof, it means a runway.

And while we’re talking runway heat, don’t miss our Pizza of the Month, the BNA HOT, a bold Nashville-style flavor that’s cleared for takeoff all November long.

Weekly Flight Plan

Nov 11 — Veterans Day

It’s a fan favorite for a reason: dependable, full of flavor, and ready for any mission.

The Barnstormer Bite

This week’s Barnstormer Bite takes us sky-high with Vicky Benzing. A pilot, chemist, and air-racing powerhouse who’s logged over 10,000 flight hours and more than 1,300 skydives. When that deep-violet blur streaks across an airshow sky, you know it’s Vicky! Precision, power, and personality all in one pass. Her story is pure inspiration: proof that brains, bravery, and a touch of style can take you anywhere. And speaking of purple legends, we’re closing out National Pizza Month with the Flying Purple People Eater!! A colorful mash-up of purple mashed potatoes, melty mozzarella, and bright green onion. The Super Cub

National Pizza Month keeps flying full throttle, and this week we’re cleared for something bold, smoky, and built to turn heads: The Super Cub! It starts with Barnstormers’ own bourbon BBQ base—rich, sweet, and just the right touch of smoky. Then we load it up with tender grilled chicken, crispy onion rings, and a blanket of melty mozzarella. Once it’s out of the oven, we give it one more daring drizzle of BBQ and a topping of crunchy fried jalapeño chips for that perfect kick.

It’s gutsy, golden, and full of attitude—our salute to the legendary Piper Super Cub, the little taildragger that does it all. Available all week or while supplies last!

The Barnstormer BiteWhen Kyle Franklin of Franklin’s Flying Circus takes to the sky, it’s pure barnstorming theater. Together with his wife Liz, he’s turned their vintage 1956 Piper Super Cub—nicknamed “Franklinstein”—into the star of crowd-favorite acts like the Ben Whabnoski Comedy Act and the daring Deadstick-ish Routine.

What looks like chaos—a rogue pilot dragging wingtips, bouncing across the grass, or shutting the engine off mid-air—is actually precision in disguise. As Kyle says, “It’s a lot of work to fly that badly.” The couple’s performances blend skill, humor, and heart, showing fans that flight is as much art as science. Originally a stock PA-18A, Franklinstein has been lightened, fine-tuned, and supercharged to 181 horsepower with a Leading Edge Exhaust System and custom tweaks that keep it nimble and loud enough to make the crowd cheer. The same aircraft Kyle soloed in—and the backbone of many Franklin stunts—from motorcycle transfers to flame-wall crashes. Just like the aircraft that inspired it, our Super Cub Pizza takes something classic and gives it wings. Proof that even the simplest design (and ingredients) can become a show-stopping legend.

Weekly Flight Plan

Oct 22 — National Pasta Day

Oct 25 — National Chocolate Day

The Pilots Pick!

When you spend your days flying upside down, dragging wingtips, and shutting the engine off midair, sometimes simple tastes just hit best. This week’s Pilot’s Pick comes straight from Kyle himself—The Plain Plane. No frills, no fancy aerobatics, just pure, unfiltered pizza comfort. It’s the kind of pie that reminds you why pizza, and flying, don’t always need extra flash to be legendary. Like Kyle’s trusty Super Cub “Franklinstein,” The Plain Plane proves that mastery isn’t about how many tricks you can do—it’s about how perfectly you can do the basics. Use code: PLANE for $5 off any Large or Small Plain Plane Pizza this week!

Did You Know?

The Super Cub (PA-18) was introduced in 1949 by Piper, developed from the earlier Cub models (such as the PA-11) and carrying forward that same basic high-wing, tailwheel design. It has been widely used in bush flying, banner towing, glider towing, and other utility roles thanks to its versatility and STOL (short takeoff/landing) capabilities.
