The Spirit of America
This pie is a salute to summer skies and backyard BBQs. We launch with a bold bourbon BBQ base, add our signature four-cheese blend, then pile it high with mesquite-grilled chicken, hickory smoked bacon, red onions, and red peppers. A final burst of sweet corn—fresh from Sandoval’s Fruit Shack—crowns it with the taste of America’s heartland. Like fireworks on the Fourth, this one burns bright but brief. Final call is this Sunday before the Spirit of America makes its landing and taxis off the runway.
Nominate Us
It’s that time again—The Herald Palladium’s Readers’ Choice Contest is open for nominations now through Sept. 7th! Our family has proudly landed in second place for five years running… but this year we’re aiming to finally take the top spot! Your nomination can help us make it happen! Please use the link below and watch for voting to open Sept 22nd!
The Barnstormer Bite
This week, we’re taking The Barnstormer Bite into new airspace with a debate as old as pizza itself: Does FRUIT really belong on a pie? Two of the three pilots we’ve sat down with so far—including Ed Hamill and Nathan Hammond—didn’t even flinch when asked about pineapple. Their verdict? Absolutely, yes. Full throttle, cleared for takeoff, no questions asked. (And if you know Katie… Then you already know she’s all in too!) But here’s where you come in: we want to know how our squadron of pizza fans feels. Drop your vote and tell us—fruit on pizza: a daring flight worth the risk, or a recipe that should stay grounded? And here’s your insider intel: next month’s specialty pie may just be packing a whole lot of fruit power. Consider this your early sneak peach into what’s about to hit the runway!
Hangar Hacks
Next time you order Barnstormers, snag an extra garden salad and split it into single-serve containers (or mason jars if you want to get fancy). Stack them in the fridge and you’ve got grab-and-go lunches or quick sides ready for the week.
It’s lighter fuel that balances out pizza night—and keeps you from scrambling for groceries when homework and sports already have the runway packed.

Did You Know?
Did you know that the shortest commercial flight in the world lasts just about 90 seconds? It runs between the islands of Westray and Papa Westray in Scotland’s Orkney Islands, covering a distance of only 1.7 miles. The hop is so quick that passengers often spend more time during takeoff and landing than in actual level flight. Despite its brevity, the route is vital—connecting remote communities, students, and healthcare access, proving that sometimes aviation’s biggest impact comes in the smallest journeys.
The Pilots Pick
The Puddle Jumper takes off with sweet & smoky BBQ, melty mozzarella, ham, bacon, chicken, and red onions—finished with a tropical burst of pineapple that proves fruit can fly. Grab yours for $5 off small and large through Sunday before this flight plan changes course! Code: PUDDLE
